The age countdowns are SUPER creepy as an adult. As a kid, I was really into the Olsen twins, and I didn't get why there was a countdown for them (and Hilary Duff, Lindsay Lohan, etc.) to turn 18. It was just a thing that was. Now that I understand it, I feel gross about those poor kids, especially with how much more prevalent fandom is with social media.
