(Anonymous) 2018-12-05 10:16 am (UTC)(link)Yeah, I'm very in favor of Will being gay as well. Although I'm not sure how I feel about wanting that. I mean, what his mother basically says is that the kids at school bully Will and call him gay because he's quiet and sensitive and artistic. That's literally the ONLY info we're given on the matter, and there are zero other places in canon where it's implied that Will might be gay. So it feels a little weird to use that one line as a starting point for Will being gay. Because, like, it kind of feels like it's validating the notion that the bullies could tell Will was gay based on X/Y/Z.
I am entirely aware I'm over thinking it.
