104. I've only seen "A Little Priest" from his version, but I love him to pieces. I liked Depp's okay (he was funny in "By the Sea"), but oh man, that guy (Hearn?)...how can you not love him?

112. Actually, I think that people are less likely to cry at movies when they're younger. I never did, but I tear up these days. I think it's because when you're older, you have more experience to draw from that helps you really understand the sad bits.
115. I'm so glad I never got into the fandom, because just knowing about it is one of the things that made me hate yaoi and never take it seriously. Relena was written to be Hiro's love interest of a sort. She was a strong young woman who is reviled by fandom because of the previously-mentioned fact. If she were a guy, they'd be all over it. Disgusting. (The fandom, not the yaoi.)
125. Huh. I thought that pic reminded me of something. No, though, he wouldn't've been better. He was still fab in that movie though.
126. Aw. I ship it, but more like "I really hope they had a good, happy, sweet relationship, I just don't want to know the squishy details." Which actually makes it like me approach with my RL friends' relationships.
130. I...I kind of want to do this now. Because honestly, I see fic that I want to edit all the time. And the truth is, if I were doing it, it wouldn't be because the fic was horrible, but because it didn't completely suck and just needed the polishing.
Granted, being able to see the difference is not a human strong point, as sitting through any entry-level critique will show (Oh, I miss those things).

153. I like Lovett as sympathetic. I like her as crazy (in the bit that I've seen). I like that about plays in general, the way people can reinterpret characters motivations and drives.
165. At this point, I'd be surprised if there's a person in any fandom who isn't aware that one many levels, this guy is a jerk.
177. HA! You could be me. I never really identify as asexual because I'm very boy-crazy, but I'm not really a sexual person in the sense that, in real life, I'm not particularly interested in it. But many of those things are definitely "kinks" of mine, if you can even call it that. Not all of 'em by a long shot, but a lot of those.
180. As I recall, our little corner of fandom (less internet, more huge clique at school) kind of hated Miaka as well. Not obsessively, but moments where we wanted to smack her (hated Nakago more). I miss that show, and we watched a bit awhile ago when my friend showed her little sister...it's soooo cheesy, but man, I still love it.
Tasuki, you were my first anime-love. Or Chichiri...it's hard to tell...

No need for sarcasm. Yeesh, you call someone a jerk, and people automatically assume the worst. If you can watch the man in action and not be aware that he's a larger-than-life persona, then, well, that's you're problem.

Oh, I hope it doesn't mean what I think it does. Because that would kind of qualify, I would think.
To be honest, there's a certain kind of jerk that is very charming. That's the kind I find him, but I have a tendancy to love people/characters often labeled as "jerks" (the Six Doctor remains my favourite, and it's largely because his ego can barely fit into the TARDIS). Barrowman is flashy and harmlessly arrogant, in my mind, but I can see how it would just bug people who don't like that sort of thing.
But also, I meant the first response more negatively towards the OP, because I'm tired of the "I hate Jack Barrowman, why do all my friends love him?" secrets, mostly because I thought anyone who loves Barrowman would also be able to figure why a lot of people wouldn't.

I just find it odd that for an actor who seems to genuinely be a super-duper nice guy, to suddenly be getting this small wave of vituperation, strikes me extremely odd. I assume it's some kind of back-lash because you can't really argue with the looks or the talent, so that just leaves the possibility that he's actually not a nice guy.
But I find it hard to believe. Obviously I don't know him personally and we all have a dark side somewhere, but his live appearances, interviews, etc are just so consistent in showing him to be extremely loveable. In fact, I'll make a big leap here and say that one reason the J/I fen refuse to accept that Jack Harkness really is a bastard is because they know what a sweetie John Barrowman is in real life.
