Ok, I tracked down that fic and read it. I don't know anything at all about Naruto, but I wanted to "check out the goods," so to speak. ^^

Anyway, to the point, I found it very well-written, and not stereotypical bullshit the way a lot of fics on that subject are. Quite good indeed, and it makes me think that you really are the right person to take on this task! I'm looking forward to reading it, because it'll probably be really different than they typical "character X cuts himself" story. Both because of how you seem to handle the subject matter, and because he's older than what is typically portrayed doing that. (Which is really interesting to me, because I'd rather read about someone who's problems didn't end once they passed the "teen angst" age.)

In short, I'm really looking forward to reading it, I'm sure you'll make it lovely, and I probably sound creepy. D:

Oh, he is indeed amazing! And not played straight often enough in fic, by a longshot. I'm baffled by most people going in a comedy direction with fics for that series. I've seen people turn very fluffy, un-serious comedies in to horrific, overblown angstfests, but when a show comes along where they could write something dark and have it actually work... It's like they're afraid to try or something. :/

But yes, I'll be looking forward to reading this. Even though it was just something I said in passing, the idea hasn't left me alone since I had that dream, and I'm really, really curious to see how you think it would work! Oh, and would you care to share a bit of the premise/concept with me, just to hold me over? 8D (...If you have anything worked out, that is. No pressure. ^^)

Ah, that sounds great! I was thinking it would work best as something with both present-day and flashback scenes. And the framework the whole thing is built upon sounds lovely. I think it would work best with more of his flashbacks than stories about the class, because he is supposed to be the main character, thus it's his POV. Oh, and are you going to have it as something he still does, or something he did years ago and still thinks about? I think either would work, of course. ^^

And yes, you can do it! I know it'll be great!
