I don't think she's gorgeous, or anything, but I don't see how anybody can call her ugly. She has a well-proportioned face, and her nose is hardly enormous. My earliest memory of her was as an Indiana Jones parody on Shalom Sasame, the Jewish version of Sasame Street. It was called "Jerusalem Jones and the Lost Afikomen", and she was totally badass. Overall, she strikes me as a genuinely good person who doesn't take herself too seriously, and that's something that I admire in anybody, famous or no.

I agree very much with this. From everything I've read and heard about her, she seems like a really decent, kind person. It irks me that people get so het up about how unattractive they find her, as though they take her face as a personal affront. How dare she be a successful actress without being beautiful! Burn the witch!

Me too. I always took her success as an indication that the entertainment industry isn't just about being flawlessly attractive.

Yeah, that's why I have to respect her. Because she could have gotten plastic surgery to her face to look more goyish, but she was like, "nah, fuck all y'all" to Hollywood.

She's actually part of the reason why I came to be more accepting of my own features, which are quite stereotypically Jewish. I have the curly hair and the nose (not giant, but hardly small), and it used to make me terribly self-conscious.

I may or may not be ethnically Jewish (my mom is unusually evasive about our family history whenever I inquire) but I have the stereotypically curly hair and kind of a big nose -- the curly hair is the worst because it's like wavy/curly so it always looks unkempt to people even though it's clean and combed. Most of the time I just flatiron it to look "normal".

I went to a school where having curly hair meant you were the definition of uncool, so I used to do that, too. But I'm way too lazy to do it that often nowadays, and I've also come to have an appreciation for my hair that I didn't when I was younger. Some days I have a full-on Jewfro, though, so I know where you're coming from. XD
