Oh, brother. I'm not the OP (and I definitely do not approve of the plagiarism that he/she is committing), but save me the "you may have stomped all over some poor girl's heart!" weepiness. Some of the stuff out there written by 14-year-old girls is absolutely atrocious. No, I'm not expecting a teenager to be writing masterpiece novels, but a decent grasp of proper spelling and grammar (or at least the knowledge of how to use spellcheck), as well as halfway recognizable characterization, is not too much to ask. Yes, the OP is being a little unnecessarily cruel, but if I personally come across a fic that butchers canon, characterization, and the English language beyond all recognition, I will not hesitate to tell the author exactly what I think. I don't care how old she is. If you're old enough to post your crap online, you're old enough to proofread.

So, let me get this straight. Your argument is:

It's okay to be a complete douchebag to people if they write a bad story for fun, because the story was bad.

Even my most ardent English teachers would disagree with you there. No, you don't have some God-given right to stomp all over somebody else because they wrote something bad. Save your self-righteous indignation for something that matters.
