I'm only watching four anime series this season and literally only one of them fits into those descriptions so you're probably not looking very hard.

Banana Fish, Double Decker and Golden Kamui. Depending on whether you count it as anime or not there's also the second season of Thunderbolt Fantasy in all its puppety glory. From last season I can also recommend Cells at Work as having no pantyshots, shounen fighting tournaments or high school love triangles. Revue Starlight was pretty entertaining too and again, none of the things that were mentioned above (maybe some hinted high school romance but at least it's lesbian romance since the only male character is a talking giraffe).

Isn't one of the main characters in Banana Fish 17?

He's high school aged but the anime certainly isn't about his romantic life (Ash's relationship with Eiji is important but the anime's a thriller, not a romance).
