You're aware megacorporations aren't the only ones who make entertainment, right?

NAYRT but the problem (and I say problem, not issue) I have with this, is that entertainment companies are a lot like other companies, there are parents and subsidiaries and honestly, I don't have the devotion to figuring out if Bob's Movie Factory is really a second cousin twice removed from Disney.

That's fair. It's not much of problem for me since I follow a lot of starving artists and indie comics, so "the man" rarely comes into the equation (not out of ethos btw, it's just what I lean towards.) If you're more into other forms of entertainment, I can see how it'd be an issue.

My point is

Your net? Is through a corporation. So's your electricity. So much of what you need to consume any entertainment is through corporations. So you can go, "I follow starving artists and indie comics!" all you want but like. The exact product isn't from a megacorp, but the way you're consuming it sure fucking is.

My point is that boycotting Disney or any other shitty entertainment company is relatively easy in comparision to companies that charge for basic needs and there alternatives, which while most of it will eventually go back to shitty companies, it's not immediate. Is your point why do anything when everything sucks?
