They've seen how successful Netflix is and want to hop on the money train, but they're really shooting themselves in the foot, because the more streaming services there are, the more ppl will go back to torrenting as they just won't be able to afford monthly fees for them all.

They realize this but they think that this will force Netflix out of business before it forces them out of business.
