I've not seen them but from the last decade there has been Cthulu, AM1200, and The Void.

Call of Cthulu was a game made this year. From what I've seen it isn't gory at all.

Call of Cthulu definitely falls into the gory category. The opening scene has the main character waking up in a pool of blood and intestines.

That's true. On the other hand there's also the part about wanting people to go and read the original books? So IDK
