I stopped doing it when it got to the question of living life for self vs. settling down with kids as if those are the two alternatives and you are living selfishly if you don't want kids. Just no.

isn't that kind of thing why there's a "Neutral/IDK" option?

But I'm not neutral. I don't want either. I don't want to live solely for myself and I also don't want kids.

You say neutral. There are other questions that expand off of that. That is how those things work.

I don't blame you one bit for backing out. I was gonna do it but now I'm not for just that reason. (anyway even if I wanted kids men aren't attracted to me and I don't think I could handle choosing to be a single parent.)

Are you talking about "I would rather live a life of personal pleasure than settle down and have children"?

I don't think that implies that those are the only two kinds of life that are possible, it's just asking you which of the 2 you'd choose if you had to choose

It is supposed to be a test of opposites. it is absolutely implying that only settling down with a family and kids is an opposite to a life of personal pleasure.

It's implying that settling down with a family kids is an opposite to a life of personal pleasure, and it's asking you to choose between those two opposites. But it's not saying that it's the only such opposite by any means.

Just look at the very first question - "I would rather find true love than be wealthy." Now, I can tell you for sure that there are options outside of those two, because I'm single and I'm also broke as hell. And I think this question has the same logic: in both cases, you're choosing which of the two opposed things you'd rather have.

But I can see how you read it the way you did.

Materialism beats Spiritualism, 55 to 45.

Spiritualism seems too high here, actually. I don't consider myself a spiritual person, and I have zero problem admitting I LOVE nice things.

Altruism beats Egoism, 60 to 40.

Idealism beats Pragmatism, 58 to 42.

Hedonism beats Asceticism, 54 to 46.

The only reason it's this close is because I refuse to judge others for being ascetic. If it's what feels good to them, that's cool. It sure isn't for me, though.

Nihilism beats Moralism, 59 to 41.

I found the "moral" questions hard, because "morality" is so often used in talking about religious beliefs, of which I have none. If the quiz had used the word "ethics" instead, it probably would've scored higher.

Romanticism beats Rationalism 58 to 42.

I utterly disagree with this one. Mainly, I disagree that there's a dichotomy here. I'm all about rationality, but I'm also a diehard romantic. For me, they don't conflict. Rationality is mainly about how I choose to act and why. Whereas Romanticism is a thing I hold inside myself.

Skepticism ties with Absolutism.

Huh. Okay. I don't think of myself as being big on Absolutism, but maybe I don't fully understand the principles of it.
