(Anonymous) 2018-12-08 12:31 am (UTC)(link)If you say so. There have been ten live-action movies in the franchise with many different directors and a few different writers. And I've watched franchises with fewer movies and I can't think of one longer than a trilogy that I've liked all of the movies in. I think the more movies that get made in a franchise, the more likely it is that fewer people will like them all. Given how many Original Trilogy fans were unhappy with the Prequel Trilogy movies, how some people who watched newer ones before watching the OT found the OT old and clunky, how many people didn't watch Solo, how people have argued over The Last Jedi and Rogue One, it seemed like a reasonable assumption for me to make.
