It cuts both ways. I saw a post today by a multishipper who got hounded out of Rey/Finn communities for also writing Rey/Kylo. She stopped writing Rey/Finn and went to writing Rey/Kylo exclusively.

haha I know right?? my nice fics with 'nice' pairings get kudos with names attached but all my dirtybadwrong fics get tons of 'guest' kudos. no one wants to own up to dirtybadwrong

honestly OP i am sad every day for the unborn shippers and fics due to the current climate. Sometimes I know without a doubt that something woulda been blood in the water in the old LJ days with frenzied shipping, but due to the current critical eye everyone acts like they don't see it. I wish I could throw current media thru some 2008 machine and see what it churns out! Wish I could just see what the popular pairing in every show woulda been given the days of community boundaries.
