New Fandoms, New Ships

What new fandoms have you gotten into? Have you started shipping anything new? Anything that you would be in fandom for, but the fandom doesn't exist?

Eh. I am mostly reading fics focused on Castiel. Being out of the show for years means there is so much hurt/comfort (gen and slash) to enjoy. It has been nice.

Not a new fandom, but this time watching Voyager, I'm vaguely shipping some strange things. Like, the early seasons made me kind of like Tom/Chakotay (their rivalry was one of the few decent things they did for Chakotay's character). And Kes/Tom (help me, but Before and After made them plausible). I think part of me would like to ship Janeway/B'lanna, but I just can't get past Janeway being the captain enough to ship her with any of the crew.

Kes/Tom is super sweet and I've always had a mad soft spot for them. I feel like he really tried to be a better person around her.

I feel you about Janeway! I also always had a bit of a weakness for both Janeway/Chakotay and Janeway/Tuvok, but I couldn't quite get around both her being their captain and the whole husband thing. The husband thing especially after reading Tapestry, which finally gave him a real character and their relationship some real meat.

I read the Star Wars Aftermath trilogy and while there is indeed some fanart (yay!), sadly it's most of the ONE ship I didn't end up shipping.
Aka I loved Norra/Wedge and Sinjir/Conder, but didn't much care about Sloane/Gallius Rax (despite loving Sloane as a character).

Apparently most people were lukewarm on the whole trilogy - especially book 1 - but I loved all of them. :(

And every few months/years I get back into Cyteen by C.J. Cherryh and the Tony Foster trilogy by Tanya Huff (the latter luckily has a decent amount of fic for such a small fandom, but there is only one new once in a blue moon now).

I've only just gotten into Final Fantasy XV, so of course it's as the fandom's dying, haha. I don't mind small fandoms, though.

I've come away with what may be the only true can't-ship-them-with-anyone-else OTP I've ever had in Noctis/Prompto. Everyone else is subjected to my usual multishipping antics, though I'm definitely gravitating pretty hard to both Ignis/Ravus and Gentiana/Luna at the moment. I'm actually super pleased that a femmeslash ship isn't nonexistent in the fandom, too! That's unusual for me to see.

I've been watching Andromeda recently. Unfortunately I've caught a couple episodes of the final season, and latched on to a ship there;; So it's not very popular;; (but at least it exists;;!)

A ship I was surprised at not finding content to, was when I first watched Black Sails. Logan was my favourite character, and given the scene when they try and take the Scarborough, I just expected him and Billy to be a parring... (seems like I was the only one?)
