I guess that makes more sense to me if you're enjoying a particular show over a long period of *actual* time. Maybe what gets me is that so much TV is now distributed in giant chunks as opposed to being revealed episode by episode. Seeing the endless show options and total numbers of episodes/seasons they consist of on a streaming service interface makes me have no interest in diving into any of it. It just seems like a chore.
