The whole "I don't uuuuuuse trigger warnings" reminds me of the idiotic "LULZ R U TRIGGERED LIBRUHL SNOWFLAKE" type of people.

they very literally said that they warn for basic things, so i'm really curious how you came to read the secret that way

Eating disorders specifically are common enough to need a trigger warning, IMO. If your basics are just rape and abuse, then you're really not aware of what "the basics" are. But maybe I'm just sensitive because my wife has an eating disorder and depictions of them legitimately trigger her so we have to curate what she interacts with. If everyone took a note from OP's book, I would have to read through every single fic she might be interested in to make sure she won't be triggered, watch every single show that might portray it, etc. That shit gets exhausting when really, if OP took five seconds at most to tag it with "portrayals of eating disorders" there wouldn't be any problems for anyone.
