We only buy gifts for our immediate family (my mom, myself, and my brother and sister) since none of us are married, or dating, or live anywhere near the rest of our extended family. I also buy for my best friend.

So, the rule in my family is go mad with presents (within what you can afford) for each other. This usually works out to about $250-$300 a person, for me. (I'll also note I started buying gifts in March, and my sister had already started before me, so yeah, we're one of those families...)

I'm pretty much done; just need to buy a couple of gift cards (I enjoy funding my mom's Hay Day addiction) and chocolates (which I never buy early because I will eat them).

Right now I'm looking up purses to get my best friend. Technically, I'm done shopping for her, but she's having a real rough go of it and her fav. purse is literally falling apart but she can't afford to get a new one. Anyone have suggestions for a black/purple purse that can be worn cross-body?
