Lance fans are basically the most toxic part of the fandom.
IDK about that. I am not really in the fandom, but what I saw from the Sheith fans after the leaks were released was pretty damn toxic.

Huge swaths of Sheith fandom are horribly wanky, but even the worst of them pale in comparison to Lance fandom, IMO. I agree with the anon above. Lance fans are the most toxic part of Voltron fandom.

I always see that accusation, but most of it is from butthurt Klance shippers.

Klance shippers who have decried the show as homophobic because their ship hasn't happened yet and HDU with leading them on, writers!!!!

I don't ship Sheith or anything in Voltron, but hoo boy, all the death threats to people who work on the show/VA's, threats of leaking info in exchange for making their ship canon, rallying to get VA's fired for supporting other ships that aren't Klance, and mobs declaring anyone who ships Shiro with the Paladins being pedophiles are pretty much all at the behest of Lance fangirls. Every side of the Voltron fandom is rotten, no doubt, but Lance fans are. They're something else. You see a Lance icon on tumblr, you know you're in for tumblr at its worst.

I mean, the fact that they chose to make a moment about a disabled POC man being revealed as gay all about the heterosexual fuckboy just says it all. They pretend like they care about POC/queer representation when, really, they just want the loser they project themselves onto to be the most important thing ever. And of course, want their kawaii twinkboy OTP to be canon. I remember them even making a meme about how they'd gladly kill Shiro who, once again, is a gay disabled Japanese man with PTSD in order to save Lance.

lol nowhere near as toxic as the people (probably klantis) who started yelling that Sheth fans are homophobic and hate RL gay kids since they're not immediately on-board of Shiro/who the fuck is that and think that a literal last minute gay couple isn't the greatest thing ever.
