She did her best by him. Jfc. No parent is perfect.

When she realised he was too insular she was worried about it and applied to queen eye. She didn't try and bully him into what she thought he should be, she wanted input from people she thought could help him move beyond who he was and become more independent.

And I think the most telling thing is that the Queer Eye guys loved her. They've seen shitty people. She was not one.

No one's asking for perfection, but the sad truth is that sometimes doing your best as a parent still falls well short of the mark. Realizing that at age 18+ that your kid is too insular is... a bit late.

Watch the show closely. The Queer Eyes don't hate anyone, but they definitely had side-eye moments. It's difficult to reprimand her because she's not an evil villain. She's just... way too involved in this kid's life in a way that wraps him in cotton wool rather than letting him explore what's out there.

You get to adulthood and you realise your parents were not perfect. Pretty much everyone has that experience. I think you're looking to demonise her.
