Ugh. You had me at the first half of the secret- but completely lost me after that...
I hate Katara. She's an overpowered, whiny, mary-sue. She complains and bitches about everything, and even while other characters are chastised and then grow from the same mistakes she makes, she never changes.
She /stole/ a water tribe scroll, (which they praised her for all the while) and couldn't even improve her bending even while following a direct guide. The idea she can then mimic 'blood bending', or anything else in such a short amount of time is just plain bullshit.

She's racist, a bitch, and unrepentant. Especially in the later season when she goes on her little excursion with Zuko- nevermind how she treats him, the way she treated Sokka, her brother, dismissing him, and not letting him come along. It's not just her demeaning him (yet afuckingain) but how she believes she is the only one who might grieve their mother. That Sokka couldn't possibly understand what it was like, as if he didn't lose her too.
That makes her unforgivable to me...
