Not OP, but you have to remember that Draco is living in a world where a werewolf is named Remus Lupin and a guy who can turn into a black dog is named Sirius Black.

I never thought about it, but I wonder if Luna’s Patronus being a rabbit is because of the rabbit-moon (Luna) Japanese mythology??

Um... Okay, so... Wait, what??
Like am I just completely forgetting a segment, where it might actually be alluded to that Draco is in some possible way a dragon...? I mean, are dragon people a just a thing I've been completely obtuse too?

Is there there any actual reason for thinking this besides his name just being Draco?...
Cause like, I guess I get where you're coming from? How Lupin is in some way a wolf, and Sirius, a dog... But it isn't as if Draco is an animagus. Maybe if he was, he could be a dragon?..

But he's named that because pureblood families tend to name themselves after stars/systems... Like how the Black family does, Malfoy married into it, so Draco is named after a celestial being... not cause he's a dragon... sorry;;?

Yeah, but when you're a kid, you come up with headcanons that don't always make sense. When I was a small kid I used to think that in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, the water in that barrel that they drank from the holy grail was actually soup broth cause it looked sorta golden. I can totally see having a headcanon about Draco being a dragon.

Hmm- okay. I guess that's fair...

Who even knows, maybe J.K. will release another book where he turns out to be the dragon Harry had to steal the egg from?
I like the character regardless, so why not, let's make him a dragon!

NAYRT - that dragon was female (hence the egg stealing difficulty). Maybe she could use it to retcon Trans!Draco or something??? Wouldn’t be out of the realm of possibility all things considered with JKR....
