Humiliation is the most specific thing in the world for me, because it does work but it has to be under the exact right circumstances. There's this really specific blend of affection and humiliation and willing participation in the humiliation that works, but if you miss it by one fraction, the whole thing goes up in smoke.

I generally the same. Humiliation only works for me for one ship (Kylo/Hux). And it doesn't work as a turn on, just as something I see as in-character for them and thus don't mind in fics. But otherwise, humiliation is an instant backbutton.

Humiliation only works for me if the sub is kind of repressed and is therefore humiliated by how much they want it, and how they can't control their reactions. And it only works if the dom is really caring and loving. Other than that, humiliation is a big squick for me.

Same. Humiliation is a hard squick for me and instant backbutton, but I do like BDSM. One without the other can be surprisingly hard to find.
