I write almost exclusively fanfic though - just now and then an original. Not that they've been published of course.
I'd like to read more fanfic but for some reason I tend to stick with really short work (reading and writing.)

Re: What's your fanfic to regular fiction ratio?
This past year I read at least 50 book-length books, compared to maybe a dozen and a half one-shot length fanfics.

(Anonymous) 2018-12-16 12:03 am (UTC)(link)but I absolutely identify with the inability to find published fiction that I like. I've tried the library. I've tried getting recs. I've tried just taking a gamble based on the summary. I have been so disappointed that I canceled my library card and don't even bother asking for recs anymore. I guess I just won't read books anymore.

Re: What's your fanfic to regular fiction ratio?
(Anonymous) 2018-12-16 08:20 pm (UTC)(link)In November I didn't read hardly any fiction at all because I was doing nanowrimo and just writing. It cut my reading time to almost nil.
In December I'm doing the yuletide fanfiction exchange so my fanfiction reading has gone even higher, because I'm volunteering to do a lot of beta reads. So maybe as high as 40% fanfiction now.
