What's your fanfic to regular fiction ratio?

The last secret has me curious.

Probably around 50/50

I probably read way more fanfic that regular fiction. I used to read a lot more original fiction when I was younger. But next year I am making it a goal to read 15 books. Just got to find something to be interested in.

This year I've read biographies almost exclusively. Haven't read a single fanfic.

Changes every so often. I have phases where I read almost exclusively fanfic and then I stop reading fic for a while(usually when I get burnt out on them or lose interest in the fandoms). Also depends on my RL stress levels - I can't really get into long original fiction when I'm stressed out - that's when I prefer reading fanfic.

I read almost 99% published fiction and non-fiction. I rarely read fanfiction.

95% published, 5% fanfic, or maybe less fanfic.

I write almost exclusively fanfic though - just now and then an original. Not that they've been published of course.

I'd like to read more fanfic but for some reason I tend to stick with really short work (reading and writing.)

On vacation it's about 80% regular fiction; during semester, though, it's swings right to the opposite ratio in favour of fanfic because I simply haven't the mental energy to start or find new material and instead either re-read well-loved regular fiction (which is rare), or predominatly turn to fic because I appreciate the ease of finding just about exactly what I want for the mood I'm in and the time I have to read it in.

70/30 in favour of fanfic, probably. It's a bit hard to tell, since I can count the books I read, but I never do for fanfic.

I read more published fiction, I probably read 70% published-lit, but I go through moods where I want some nice and easy comfort-reading and fanfic is good for that.

Waaaay more fiction and non-fiction than fanfic. I probably read more comics than fanfics.

This past year I read at least 50 book-length books, compared to maybe a dozen and a half one-shot length fanfics.

I'm not really doing fanfic outside of a few kink stories now and then.

Probably 90% fanfic, mainly because I read a shit ton of fanfic. I would read three or four novel-length fics a week and love every minute of it, if there was enough fanfic for my OTP to support my habit.

I'm glad I'm not alone.

Lately all the ~real books~ I've been reading are nonfiction, so it's like 99% fanfic for me right now.

100% regular fiction these days, to be honest - but with a caveat. I read a lot of "original fics" online on fanfic archives, so they are basically just fanfics but original.

I actually don't read fanfic at all, though I write it

but I absolutely identify with the inability to find published fiction that I like. I've tried the library. I've tried getting recs. I've tried just taking a gamble based on the summary. I have been so disappointed that I canceled my library card and don't even bother asking for recs anymore. I guess I just won't read books anymore.

I definitely read more books and manga than fic. I read a hundred books this year and about twelve fics.

Maybe 45/55? I don't read as much as I would like for both fanfics and regular books TBH.

Maybe 2-3% fanfic, 5% published non-fiction, and the rest published fiction.

Usually I read 95% regular fiction and 5% fanfiction. But in the last 6-8 months I've been on more of a fanfiction kick and reading closer to 20% fanfiction / 80% regular fiction.

In November I didn't read hardly any fiction at all because I was doing nanowrimo and just writing. It cut my reading time to almost nil.

In December I'm doing the yuletide fanfiction exchange so my fanfiction reading has gone even higher, because I'm volunteering to do a lot of beta reads. So maybe as high as 40% fanfiction now.
