Hurrah! Time off!

As of Monday, I will have three blessedly student- and family-free weeks! Of course, I do love my family dearly, and I enjoy teaching and my students are, by and large, a lovely group of people. BUT OMG YAY PEACE AND QUIET AND TIME TO DO RESEARCH!!! <3 I am fully intending to spend most of the holidays in bubble baths, and/or lounging about in the altogether with an improving book or two.

How are those of you lucky enough to have time off going to spend it?

I will be off from the 21st to the 1st. Going to spend until the 25th at home relaxing. From the 25th-1st, I am going to go visit my sister. She also has that time off so we are going to go shopping and eat out.

Packing to move house, and spending a bit of low-pressure time with my mother and sister. Hopefully. There's usually drama of some sort but perhaps not this time. Also, going to the zoo near my sister's holiday place and feeding a tiger there... very carefully.

Yay!! Enjoy your time off and the peace and quiet, anon!!

I unexpectedly got the second half of this past week and this upcoming week off due to work restrictions, so I suddenly have a lot of free time to focus on holiday shopping and perhaps holiday baking. I'm excited but also extremely worried. I've never had work off due to medical reasons before.
