It's better for everything. Fandom, discourse, friendships, recipes. You can post things and then find those things later when you need them.

Not saying one is better than the other but you can do the same with tumblr (post something and find it later). How is Dreamwidth different in that aspect ?

I find it much easier. Memories let you save other people's posts, and I can search by tag or date to find my own.

You can do all of that on tumblr too tho. Even the search by date. Unless you’ve been doing tumblr wrong?

Only thing dw has over tumblr (aside from allowing nsfw content) is comments/threads and communities. Me, I’d rather have searchable global tags but to each their own.
