Nah, I buy this as real.

As I said above, it's hella obvious that Gaga's ambitious as hell. She's aiming to score an EGOT over the course of her career. She's never said, but it's pretty obvious. That tends to rub people the wrong way. Add in her over-the-top theater kid personality...yeah. I can see why this secret is real.

I think, too, that her early fanbase left a bad taste in some people's mouths. The Little Monsters were really over-the-top. Not anywhere near the Beyhive or the Swifties, but they were a bit of an annoying plague for awhile. So I can see that contributing, too.

But I've never seen anyone say she lacks musical talent. Even the most ardent hater admits she's got THAT going for her. But, hey, when you don't like someone, you just don't like someone. *shrug*
