What's with all these hate secrets lately hating so hard on things/people that don't deserve the irrational hate? Gaga's yesterday, this one today and there was another one sone days ago too.

IDK, I don't have a problem with irrational hate secrets, people can dislike what they dislike. I fucking hate eggplant and that's OK. What annoyed me about the Gaga one was that they said she wasn't talented which just isn't a reasonable thing to say.

You talk as though it's mindless hate. I don't know this game, but it sounds like OP has legitimate reasons for why they dislike it.

I think a lot of the frustration comes from the fact that there's so much material in Lovecraft's fiction that could potentially make for a great creepy/slow-build horror game, but in all these years none of them have been handled very well in the translation to video game. I think Batman suffered from this until the Arkham series came along (the first one, at least.)
