TMI! Health problems

(Anonymous) 2018-12-19 03:56 am (UTC)(link)
I have a black/dark red lump on vulva. It appeared about a week before. I have always had black spots but a previous gynecologist told me they were not an issue. But I am concerned about the bump. It is about the size of a pencil eraser. It doesn't hurt or anything.

The real question is should I try to go to a urgent care OR a gynecologist (the nearest one I can get to soon is 2 hours away).

If it's painful it might be a bartholin cyst, but to be safe I'd see a gynecologist. You can get zits or really inflamed glands down there, it does happen. It hurts like a bitch, but hot soaks help a little. Try not to mess with it.

it's probably a blocked sweat gland or an ingrown hair. your gyno can probably lance it for you. i've lanced one myself because i was getting annoyed with it but i don't recommend doing that.
