At the time I read it as Jadzia doesn't care because Dax is really old and Bashir is like a kid who is more amusing than threatening. In retrospect, I think it's unfortunate that they didn't frame Bashir's behavior as being inappropriate, even if Dax didn't mind. They could have had it both ways. Dax doesn't need to feel uncomfortable for Bashir to be taught a lesson about appropriate behavior toward a colleague. If anything, she should have been able to impart some wisdom on him.

IA but I think it's just a reflection of how different the times were 25 years ago. I mean this was only a few years removed from Gene Roddenberry actively being in charge of Star Trek. Realistically they weren't going to be really hip with workplace sexual harassment norms.

I think they did in a way. Jadzia didn't seem bothered when he was pursuing her, but there was an episode in which they got trapped in an turbolift and talked about it. Jadzia says something like 'the reason I avoided you, was because you came on so strong.' and I think Bashir at least acknowledges that he went about it the wrong way.
