The character really is horrible. He starts off as a creep and never improves. The movie treats his behavior as fine and normal and ughhh, it drives me up the wall.

I'll never understand people who didn't like the 2016 version, it outshines the original easily just by virtue of not starring any sex predators who carry date rape drugs around with them.

I loved the original so much as a kid. I would watch it over and over. The stuff with Venkman flew right over my head. Watching it as an adult... yeah, he's a problem.

The new version us hysterical and I know it wouldn't get the haters if it had been the only version and the original never existed. As someone who was a massive Ghostbusters fan as a kid in the 80s, I have no sympathy for all the "my childhood is ruined!" bullshit.
