Re: Do you prefer male or female gynecologists or no preference?

I understand why a lot of women prefer a female gynecologist, but I've only ever had one male gyno and he's great. Doesn't dismiss my concerns, always apologizes for uncomfortable moments (like when the speculum goes in, the cervical swab, etc.) and is super respectful. I trust him. It's also his office's policy that there's a female physician's assistant or nurse in there with you for at least part of the time during a pelvic exam.

Now I've heard plenty of horror stories but you really have to go on a case by case basis.
