some people do better with electronic means but I prefer paper, but either way. write that shit down. with paper, at least, you can keep a note-stack in common places where a reminder might be needed - a magnet pad on the fridge for groceries, a pad by the phone if you have a landline, a pad in the bathroom for medications/tissue, a notecard somewhere wherever you put your keys or habitually pass when getting the mail in case you need to post out some medical or tax documents...etc.

I've been carrying a 99cent notebook on me for four or five years and it's a godsend when my health problems skyrocket and take my memory with them.

I'm the type of person who would lose the book, so at work I use the "tasks" function on Microsoft Office. I think that has saved my butt at my job. I even put things on it a year in advance if I've just done them and I know I need to do them again after a year.
