Huh. If someone says I want XY pairing in a Z situation (or even just XY pairing) and I have fic that fits the bill, I sure do rec my own fic. Without hesitation or disguise. I never considered it as a thing I shouldn't do?

I rec other authors' fics, too, but why be modest? If it entertained you to write it, there is a chance someone will be entertained to read it.
