For years I thought Folsom Prison was in New Mexico because there is a famous archeological site named the Folsom Site near a tiny New Mexico town named Folsom. That was the only Folsom I knew. It wasn't until I saw Walk the Line that I found out there is a Folsom, California and that's where the prison is.
