Re: Did anyone bake anything good for the holidays?

Not exactly baking, but I successfully made real, no-cheating chocolate fudge for the first time in years, and promptly gave it away so I wouldn’t eat it. The Joy of Cooking fudge recipe I always tried and failed at called for two cups of milk or cream to three of sugar, and when I poked around most of them had a 3:1 sugar to liquid ratio. So I followed a different recipe and it worked! It always frustrated me that my maple candy and penuche always turned out fine but chocolate fudge always ended up sludge instead. Now I want to make more fudge.
