Ugh (warning body TMI)

For several days now, I've been having issues with the hearing in my right ear and it's been clogged. I know it's ear wax build up but it doesn't seem to be dislodging on its own and it's driving me crazy so I did my usual routine on occasions when this happens:

1) a few drops of hydrogen peroxide in the ear for 10 minutes
2) repeated flushing out with warm water using one of those squeeze bulb things

Repeat for two days. This is day three and it FINALLY came out and it was the size of a tiny football shaped clump nearly half an inch long. It smelled like... cheese and chlorinated pool water? (I haven't been swimming in years.) It's such a goddamn relief and I wanted to share it with someone.

I’ve had issues with wax clogging up my ears, so I sympathize with your plight, anon, and I’m so glad you got the wax chunk out!

Really, like how much hydrogen peroxide are we talking about here?!
Once in a while I'll brush a q-tip in the stuff and clean out my ears, but straight up dripping it in, I've never done...;;

I know olive oil works to loosen up a buildup of earwax, but pouring peroxide in your ears is the best way to end up deaf I always thought;; Even in the smallest of portions;;

i am guessing it was diluted peroxide because otherwise OUCHY.
(it probably explain the smell tho)
