Smoking gave my Dad pancreatic cancer (which he survived, but it was very close) and even I admit it looks hella cool.

(I feel like I may be quite possibly the only person willing to admit to liking the smell of cigarette smoke. It's what my father smelled like my whole childhood; it took a year to get used to the smell of him after he quit.)

And yet seeing someone smoke a joint is so unsexy to me in every way. I don't quite understand why, when Marijuana can't even be compared to the evils of nicotine.

I actually kind of like it too, as long as it's completely fresh cigarette smoke, not old stale cigarette smoke. I especially like it if I'm a little drunk. However, last time I went to visit her I sat outside with her a lot while she smoked, and after a week and a half of that, I discovered I'd developed a cough when I went jogging (it went away again, of course, but still). So I've decided I'm going to avoid her second hand smoke as much as possible from here on out.

Agreed. Like, I'm pro-legalization and everything, even though I don't toke, but it still turns me the hell off. (I keep my opinions to myself though, IRL.)

Personally, I get physically sick from even the tiniest whiff of weed smell and it's not nearly as bad with normal cigarettes.

I actually agree with you 100%. I hated the smell my whole life but then I dated someone who lived with a smoker, and while we both detested it, I realized that when he wasn't around I missed the scent because it reminded me of him. Even subconsciously, I picked up an attraction to it. I think I hate how it makes my lungs feel when I breathe it secondhand, but there are some cigarettes that have a strangely pleasant smell to them.

Cigars and marijuana, I can't stand no matter what, though.
