He is an original Avenger, he has to come back. But honestly, he is inoffensive in the MCU, I can't imagine people feeling so strongly for him either way.

Him coming back makes sense since he's one of the original Avengers in the MCU, but I really don't care one way or another about it. Don't love him but don't hate him, he's just kinda there I guess.

I've never been particularly bothered about him but I'm happy for his fans getting to see him again. I think I am honestly so over and tired of everyone being so horrible about the faves of others (not saying you're being horrible here OP, I mean the MCU fandom in general.)

I like him. I wish they'd done more with him (and no, adding a random family out of nowhere is not actually doing more with him, Joss). But I like him. Jeremy Renner is pleasant to watch. I'm easy to please.

The random family is why I don't have strong good feelings for him because now it looks like he just disappears from saving the world to go stick another baby in his wife, then disappears from helping with the goddamn child raising and farming to go play superhero.

The only MCU stuff I remotely care about is him, Black Widow, and the Revengers. I never even considered watching Infinity War, but you know I MIGHT JUST if Hawkeye's going to be in this one.

(Personally, I found him pretty non-offensive, but I wasn't really a fan of the whole "random family" plotilne, which will surely result now in "my family is all dead, I've become very grim" thing)
