I knew the OP secret wasn't about me but I do include bathroom mentions in my fics, as well. Not descriptive. Like the reader of my fic knows about as much as i do when I've a guest over and they excuse themselves to use my bathroom. I know they did something in there but I don't need the details, so I figure neither do my readers. I feel like it adds some touch of humanity to fictional characters or something, that's all.

Yes, a touch of humanity! It makes it feel more real. But "fade to black" is fine.

SORRY, but you have prompted me to tell the story of our overnight guest's parting ...shit. We had a family staying here overnight, celebrating new year's eve right into the small hours. Their super-loopy (!) teenager made them delay their departure this morning because he stayed and stayed in the bathroom. When he finally got out from there, right by the front door where we all stood around waiting for him--trying hard to over-talk the grunts coming from the bathroom (no hand washing though D-: --he left the door wide open after him, providing the aroma to go with the sounds. When they finally left the crime scene and I hurried over to shut the goddamn door, I got greeted with the sight of his non-flush on top! I won't go into more detail, but I AM TRAUMATIZED. I guess his scrambled teenage brain is just lagging so hard that even the basic functions have gone right out the window. And pray to any power concerned that he'll grow up a hell of a lot before they come visiting again. Too much humanity can make for a shitty new years day, I tell you. Happy New Year to you all anyway!

My condolences on your traumatic experience. So far such a thing has never happened to me. I'd be as upset, too.

I don't think he'd be able to hide that. His brain is just very much under construction at the moment (I hope).
