132- I'm not super fond of this myself, and maybe they AREN'T using it this way, but Naruto intentionally calls Sasuke teme AS an insult on a normal basis. (I'd rather they go to the effort to find some equvilant because...it's not so hard, but that would probably be why)

132. Yes, "teme" is an insult, but in a japanese context it would mean something... I understand that people don't know about this word and think it would be just another insult, like "baka" or such. But using "baka" in a fic is just as dumb... Why not using a same language all the way?

I agree in general, I'm just saying that teme is used as a degratory "you" in context of Naruto on a regular basis. Which is the "something" I'm guessing you mean.
