103. Agreed. Even when disabled characters do show up, it's usually because they have a Disability Superpower (though don't get me wrong, I love Toph). It gets old pretty fast.

119. Riiiight. Cuddy will ruin the show. Not the crappy writing and (lack of decent) character development, or the constant warping of other characters to make House Always Right. But one stupid horrible slashblocking woman.

I don't even like Cuddy anymore (I think the show has mostly destroyed her character in order to build House up), but I feel sorry for Lisa Edelstein, having to put up with some of the shit they put Cuddy through.

If you're writing for a canon that's actually set in Japan or a Japanese-based society, then I don't see a problem with using honorifics or certain words that don't translate well into English (like types of food). But things like "teme"? Yeah, that doesn't even make sense when you try to put it in with English.

119: I agree SO HARD. The stripping scene in the last episode this season (or second-to-last? Whichever)... I was glad for TiVo and the FF button. Jesus. It pisses me off that Cuddy is supposed to be House's BOSS, but she caves to him ALL. The. Time.
As far as warping other characters... I was actually kind of interested in the storyline with... Tritter? That cop, ya know? But I missed a few eps and by the time I got back into it, they had made him into an immoral asshole... How much MORE interesting would it have been if he'd've been a nice, moral guy, and they would have actually had to deal with some of the issues House creates--like treating everyone like shit? Instead, they were able to fall back on, "Oh, the cop's an asshole who's targeting House's colleagues to get to him, so we should support House." What a fucking cop-out (hee, pun). Oh, and the drugs aren't his problem; why did they even make that a plot point (especially since he'd back to taking them regularly anyway, so wtf?)? The problem is he gets away with doing anything he wants, so he DOES anything he wants.

132. Of course, I wasn't taliking about the honorifics or such, but about fics when characters suddenly go: "Ano (meaning "Er..."), you know... or "Demo ("but") I blah blah" +_+
