I don't dislike the show, but when they have episodes with disabled characters they usually conform to the same patronizing stereotypes you see everywhere, where being disabled is what makes the person's life suck so much and if only they could walk all their other problems would go away.

Ah, gotcha. I was just thinking about House himself, not the guest characters.

IAWTC. There's one episode in particular which bugged me in that way - the one with Harry Lennix (I think?) playing a sax player who couldn't play anymore because of illness affecting his breathing. He was also disabled, I think his legs were paralyzed, and although he insisted it was not being able to play the sax that was making him miserable, House cured the paralysis and wow, suddenly not being able to play the sax didn't matter anymore. Because yeah, who cares about your lifelong passion so long as you can walk again? But not being able to walk, that would make it totally reasonable for you to want to die.

I love House, but sometimes I want to swat the writers over the head with a clue by four.
