Why? He beats the crap out of her and doesn't even love her (I don't think he's capable), but has to go get his toy back if she goes off without him. It's not a relationship, she's his plaything. And she's so devoted to him, she doesn't even realise.

Why on earth would anyone WANT to be in a relationship like that?

I, personally, think he loves her, even if it's the tiniest bit.
And, screwed up as it may seem to others, I think it's somehow sweet.

He loves her as much as he can, which isn't much. When he did the whole rewrite reality thing where he was gonna bring about the end of the world, he turned her into a constellation, giving her "the best seat to the apocolypse" instead of letting her burn with everyone else.
And I find it sweet fictionally. Sweet for the Joker.


But sweet for the Joker is like...dry for the ocean, y'know. It doesn't "seem" screwed-up. The Joker and Harley is like the poster child for Most Abusive Relationship ever. I mean, heck, even in the cartoon with censors and all, just check out "Say We're Sweethearts Again." It's cute, funny, and when you think to hard about it, it's horrible as anything.

There's nothing desirable about the Joker and Harley's relationship whatsoever, and anyone who thinks there is needs help. Not an opinion; that is just a fact of human psychology. It's adorable and twisted on paper. In real life, it would be monsterous.
