Sorry, but I have to point out that if I wrote a fic wherein a gay character or relationship was shown in a negative light, or one where a gay character was killed for being gay? Yaoi fantards would jump me for being omg so homophobic.

Boy you really have a hard time telling the difference between people's RL beliefs and tastes and what they enjoy in fiction. Incest shippers don't actually support incest. Fantasy exists so we can enjoy things that are simply impossible, unsafe, unlikely, or full of negative consequences, and enjoy them without having to suffer all the ugly, negative consequences.

Just because I enjoy, say, the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe doesn't mean that I advocate for young children to be chased around a hostile countryside, fight wars, or run a country, because all of those things in real life would be massive FAIL. But as fiction, they are awesome.

I'm pointing out that yaoi fans often fall into the same fallacy you accuse me of.

I'm NOT the first anon on this thread, btw. And while I don't care for incest fics I'm not demanding that people stop writing them.

Well there's a difference between posting up a character bashing fic (regardless of if the character is gay or straight) and posting up a fic that hits your sweets spots. A fic that shows a guy in a bad yaoi relationship is very well recieved I've found. That's pretty much all I write. Yaoi non-con, semi-con, and wrong-con. Messed up, problematic, doomed to fall apart relationships -- between two guys. Obsessive, one sided relationships, abuses of power, self-deception. Confused heterosexuals who find themselves in homosexual relationships, then grapple with what that means.

People eat it up like pancakes. Yaoi does not have to = healthy relationship by a long shot.

But if you are just using your fic to gaybash or character bash, then, my dear, you are soapboxing. And no one enjoys that.

Okay. So by your logic...I support relationships that are extremely abusive sexually, mentally, and physically because I happen to read about FICTIONAL characters doing those acts.

You really need to start distinguishing reading tastes and real world tastes. I would NEVER condone violence in a relationship. Heck, about ALL of the FICTIONAL character I like, I would absolutely HATE in real life.

And about incest? Personally, it's not something I enjoy on a realistic or fictional level. Some people happen to like it on a fictional level, and y'know I don't blame them half of the time. Let people ship what they want. There is no rules or laws against who or what people should ship.

And as for the 169!OP: I can care less what you think about FICTIONAL incest, but honestly...? Your going to judge a group of people you don't know because of one interest? YOU MAKE ME SICK. Why can't fandoms all get along? Honestly. This srs bzns pisses me off.

Thank you! It's one thing to call a ship disgusting because it squicks you. It's another thing entirely to call somebody disgusting for shipping it.
