(Anonymous) 2019-01-03 02:57 am (UTC)(link)Lots of things are pretty universal fears, but that doesn't mean they affect everyone the same way or to the same extent.
Body horror is my biggest...not sure if "squick" is the right term, but it freaks me out way more than anything else, and in a way that other types of horror don't. Like, literally every memory I have of feeling physically ill and bordering on panic while watching a movie or show, it was something to do with body horror.
I felt dizzy and thought I was going to throw up during District 9 (a movie which I love, in part because of how strongly it affected me), whereas the person I was watching it with was barely affected at all.
