Japan -the intended market- didn't throw a tantrum over a dark and edgy LN having a rape scene, the people behind the show couldn't care less about stupid Western Twitter ~drama~.

But we live in the West, we are Western fans ourselves, and the existence of a group of people willing to defend almost anything solely on the grounds that 'SJWs' dislike it is extremely stupid and bad and also relevant, isn't it

(Anonymous) 2019-01-05 01:33 am (UTC)(link)
Nope, it's irrelevant. It will have zero impact on future anime shows, it's not like we are going to have dozens of new shows aimed at these people. If this was Japanese fans supporting something problematic out of spite, then yes, that would be bad andrelevant. But it's just edgy dumbfucks arguing with sensitive specialsnowflakes dumbfucks over the internet. Whatever.

Edgy dumbfucks are bad and there's too many of them.

They're pretty easy to avoid if you don't get involved in the hot take of the week and don't follow people who do.
