It's nobody's choice but hers to tweet, though.

But tweeting about your own fictional creation isn't wrong.

I'm not questioning people's right to find it annoying. Hell, at this point even I wish she'd stop. What I'm questioning is why people feel that lousy movie scripts and annoying tweets somehow negate her previous accomplishments.

It doesn't negate it, but like... it's a question of proportions, I guess? When all she'd released was the original Harry Potter books, that was all you had to judge her. Now, it's like, what, 25% of her total output. And the more other stuff she puts out, the smaller proportion of her total work it becomes.

Ok. I guess I just think about this differently than a lot of people do.

I've deeply loved some stories in my life that went downhill like woah, and ultimately turned into, well, shit. And personally, I just keep loving the parts I loved at the start - the rest of it be damned.

But the old adage, "Your Mileage May Vary," definitely applies here, and I accept that.

I still love the actual Harry Potter books as much as I ever did, the actual works themselves. But my respect for JKR as a creator has gone significantly downhill.
