If we're allowed to pick shows that we used to like, but probably should have called it quits like 5 years ago-- I'm pretty sure genderswapped Supernatural would kick all kinds of ass.

Didn't they try that? Wayward Sisters or something? Though in all fairness they probably didn't commit to it the way they committed to SPN.

They only did a sort of 'pilot episode' which was an episode of Supernatural with more emphasis on the women. Personally, I don't think they gave it remotely enough of a chance.

Ah. Yeah, I've never managed to really make it more than halfway through season six of SPN (and I've tried like three times), but I've seen enough to know they're not the friendliest to the female characters. I mean, I know the whole premise is 'bad ass brothers' and that's what they know most of the fans are there for, but the female victims still seemed to go through a lot more than any males, so I can kinda see why they were only halfhearted about giving WS a go.

.......well, i have no idea about that, since more men have died on the show than women, but the fans actively campaigned for 'Wayward Sisters', and i never saw anything negative about the idea, or the women they chose. I think the network just punked out, because the fans were all over it.
