I'm not under 50 actually, but not far over either. I'm definitely NOT looking for 25-year-old dates! But after a attempt at online dating which didn't go well and an attempt at speed dating which was demoralizing as hell I'm not sure where to turn. But you are making good points and I will try not to despair.

For what it's worth as anecdata, my aunt didn't come out until she was closing in on her 50s, and she's been married (in ceremony, then legally once it was actually legalized where she lives) for the better part of a decade.
