At first I was like I don't find it any different from writing RPF, but then on second thought, it would be a little weird if they're using candids or something. Promo photos are meant to sell a fantasy, kinda, but candids are edging closer into the tinhat category

I can see how posting candids can be creepy, but wouldn't it be equally creepy if it was just on a fan blog without the fic?

Different kinds of slightly creepy? Taking or posting the pics without permission is kind of a violation of privacy, then taking those pics then writing stories about what those already-violated private lives might totally have been about is a different kind of... not violation, but disrespect for privacy?

Obviously I don't mean candids like "the photo you took at the con where that's expected" or anything, I mean like paparazzi stuff
